I need to investigate further into where the residents who had to leave went. Me and other researchers need to look into if those residents went to quality homes. I would like to do a project on what life is like for the ex residents of Allen Wilson Terrace is like after moving out. Find out there feelings on the subject buy taking surveys. They are the people who's opinions matter and they are who I want to talk to.
I think that things around Decatur are going to change but hopefully things would change for the better but i can picture them changing for the worst. I feel that many people will have a pinions and based on how they voice them will shape the way things will change in this city of Decatur.

Reflection
I came into this research project with a very negative outlook on the public housing changes in Decatur but through my research i have found that there will be some good coming from the destruction of History. It was hard for me to come to the conclusion that it wasn't a terrible thing for Allen Wilson Terrace to be torn down. Next I will try to pick a topic that I did not have such a one sided opinion on. I feel that i had very fair and very well worded questions so i will keep those in the same kind of format. This research has taught me to let go of what is gone and try to look forward to the good that will follow. I have had nice experiences there but i have to let them go and have more at the new Allen Wilson Terrace

Conclusions
My source tell me all of the good that will come from rebuilding Allen Wilson Terrace but it failed to answer both of my research questions. But through my research I have found some good that will come from the destruction of Allen Wilson Terrace. They will let people return who want to return come back with no raise in rent. Also the new units will be much better.

Decatur Public Housing Project To Be Demolished, Redeveloped:Article
The article gives you all of the plans they have for rebuilding Allen Wilson Terrace after they complete the reconstruction. They're going to rezone the property. They will tear down 22 buildings with 200 units. then they plan to rebuild 189 public housing dwellings and 18 market rate dwellings. They will all be in 5 multi-story buildings. They are also going to sell 3 acres of the 7.69 acres. Decatur City predicts that it will be done in 6 years. It also gives you the opinion and views of some of the current residents and views of people who are not residents. Some residents look forward to it but some are a little less exited about the change than others.
Why: Topic Questions
Why did the Decatur housing authority felt it was necessary to tear down Allen Wilson Terrace and how do people in Decatur feel about it?

Big Eraser: Topic and Goals
I'm researching changes in public housing in Decatur. I wanted to research this topic because I feel that tearing down the OP's (Original Projects) is like erasing a big part of Decatur's history. I am having friends taken away from me because they must move out of their apartments. I hope that through my research I can figure out a good reason for why they are tearing down the OP's.
